
Cory H. Driggers

Cory grew up in Elba, Alabama where he graduated from Elba High School. He attended Southern Union in Wadley and then Troy State University where he majored in Political Science with minors in History and English. While in college, Cory played baseball and was an honor student. After Troy, Cory attended law school at Mississippi College in Jackson, Mississippi, where he was selected to Who's Who of American Law Students and received the highest grade in Trial Practice.
After graduating from law school, Cory and his wife Alyssa immediately moved back to Alabama where he accepted a job with the Dothan firm of Morris, Cary and Andrews. After working as an associate attorney for five years, Cory became a partner in the firm, which is now known as Morris, Cary, Andrews, Talmadge & Driggers, LLC. For the past two years, Cory has served as Managing Partner for the firm.
Cory handles all types of personal injury claims including wrongful death,
automobile accidents,
products liability,
workers' compensation and general negligence claims. He also handles
Social Security Disability claims. Some of Cory's most recent accomplishments include serving as an integral part of the trial team that obtained a record setting jury verdict of $21,000,000, obtaining a workers' compensation judgment valued at over $600,000, and settling a workers' compensation claim for a lump sum payment of $200,000, while retaining the worker's right to future medical benefits to be paid by the employer.
In January 2013, Cory was selected to The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers. He is also a member of the Alabama Association for Justice, the Wiregrass Inn of Court and the Houston County Bar Association. Cory is licensed to practice in all of the state courts of Alabama and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama.
Cory is married to the former Alyssa Wimberly of Dothan and they have 3 children: Holley, Mary Hannah and Carson. The Driggers attend Westgate Church of Christ where Alyssa teaches 2nd grade Sunday school and Cory leads the life group that meets in their home each Sunday night. Cory also enjoys coaching youth sports and playing golf.
