Dan Talmadge was born in Enterprise, Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1994 from the University of Alabama. Upon graduation from the University of Alabama, Dan Entered law school at Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana, and received his J.D. degree and graduated cum laude in 1998. After law school, Dan practiced as an attorney with the firm of Cobb and Shealy, P.C.
Dan joined the firm Morris, Cary & Andrews, LLC in 2002. He became a partner of the firm, now known as Morris, Cary, Andrews & Talmadge, LLC in 2003.
Dan is a member of the Alabama State Bar and the Florida State Bar. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern, middle and Southern Districts of Alabama and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
Dan is a member of the Alabama Bar Association and the Houston County Bat Association. Dan and his wife, Liz, have three daughters Harper, Elizabeth, and Helen.
